Recruitment Fraud Notice

Effective October 4, 2026

Criminals sometimes pose as employers to steal money or personal information from job seekers. SoftSapien will never ask you to pay to apply, interview or start work. Use this page to check that a job, recruiter or offer is genuine.

What SoftSapien will never do

  • Ask for any payment, deposit or fee for applications, interviews, training, equipment, visas or background checks.
  • Ask you to buy equipment or software, or to receive and forward money or parcels.
  • Ask for bank, card or cryptocurrency details, or for copies of passports and government ID numbers, before a written offer made through our official process.
  • Interview you only through text chat on messaging apps such as Telegram or WhatsApp.
  • Make an offer without at least one interview with members of our team.
  • Contact you from a free e-mail account such as Gmail, Outlook.com or Yahoo.

How to check a job or recruiter is genuine

  • Every open role is listed on this site. If a job is not listed at https://careers.softsapien.com/careers/, treat it with caution.
  • Applications go through this site. We ask you to apply here, even when a recruiter contacts you first.
  • Official e-mail comes from a @softsapien.com address. Check the sender address carefully for misspellings or extra characters.
  • Offers follow interviews. Genuine offers come after our recruiting process and are confirmed in writing by an authorized SoftSapien representative.

Warning signs of a scam

  • An offer that seems too good to be true, or arrives without any interview.
  • Pressure to accept or reply urgently, or to keep the offer secret.
  • Poor spelling and grammar, or a mismatch between the job title, the company and the e-mail domain.
  • Requests to move the conversation to a personal messaging app.
  • Checks or payments sent to you with instructions to return part of the amount.

If you think you have been targeted

  1. Stop communicating with the sender and do not send money or personal documents.
  2. Report it to SoftSapien using the Contact Us link below (choose Report abuse or a security concern), with the job title, sender details and any messages you received. We use these reports to take down fake listings and warn other candidates.
  3. If you have shared financial details or sent money, contact your bank straight away.
  4. Report the scam to your local police or consumer protection authority.

SoftSapien is not responsible for offers, charges or losses arising from contact by people falsely claiming to represent SoftSapien.
